The original owners of the Williams House had a colorful history of their own. Felton and “Peggy” Williams (nee Fussel) purchased the house in 1939, while they were both employed at the WPTF radio station. It was 8 years prior, after meeting at WPTF, that they said their “I Do’s” live on the air. It was reported at the time that they were the first couple in the south-east to do so.
